Foodshed Farm, Grady, AR
The BAM distribution e-mail has been sent to members. Please e-mail your reservation to csalittlerock@yahoo.com by 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23. To order extra milk products (keep reading for the product list), we must receive your order by noon on Tuesday, September 22. Include your full name and which day and location you will pick up your basket. Please reply as soon as possible so we can quickly get accurate orders to our farmers. Also, please pay particular attention to the basket distribution times for each day. Thank you.
Howdy BAM Supporters!
On behalf of all the farmers who have contributed to this month's Community Supported Agriculture Basket-A-Month Program, thank you! As Seven Doves Creamery has expressed, "you have been our lifeline; without you we would not exist."
We certainly hope you will continue to support BAM, and if you have been away for awhile, we invite you to join us again and share in our bountiful harvest.
If you are joining BAM for the first time or renewing by credit card, please use our PayPal option or contact us so that we may run your credit card before basket distribution to cut down on the time you have to wait for your basket.

VOLUNTEERS
Our volunteers are awesome! You are part of what makes BAM such a success and the reason we have so much food in our baskets. THANK YOU! Every month we exchange food for your labor of love, and sometimes we are able to have a special treat for you. If you can help us assemble and distribute baskets, contact us at csalittlerock@yahoo.com.
NEW MEMBERS
Welcome to BAM. We hope you have read our rules and procedures. After you receive your first basket and glass milk container, you are asked to bring them back when you pick up your next basket and you will get an extra half pound of raw milk cheese.
If you are receiving this email and have not joined BAM, you may do so if you join before 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23. Visit our eShop to join, or contact Sandra at csalittlerock@yahoo.com.
SEPTEMBER 2009 BAM NEWS and PREVIEW
This month we will launch a new Seven Doves Dairy CSA to be distributed every two weeks for BAM members only! More information will be available in your newsletters when you pick up your basket.
September has been an interesting month and we have had plenty of rain over the past week. Normally we would have distributed our baskets this past week; we are so happy we waited until this week and hope the rain holds off for us. In the event of heavy rainfall, we will move the basket distribution to a covered building, so please check www.ArkansasFood.net for any updates or changes.
BASKET PREVIEW
Our meat item for this month will be beefalo. BAM members seem to enjoy our beefalo since it is a specialty from our farm. Other products will include raw milk cheese, shiitake mushrooms, organic rice, sweet potatoes, assorted peppers, a special canned product, apples, treats from the Argenta Market Bakery, eggs from happy chickens, fresh milk and butter from the dairy and hopefully the debut of a new product. I have to hold out a few items so you will be happily surprised when you pick up your basket.
EXTRA PRODUCTS (BAM MEMBERS ONLY)
Extra milk products are available if you order before noon on Tuesday, September 22. If you would like to order extra milk, please respond to csalittlerock@yahoo.com.
Milk products available:
½ gal Milk $4 (must return glass container or $2 deposit )
½ gal Chocolate Milk $5
Farm Fresh Butter $4
Pint Buttermilk $2
Extra products may be available and will be posted at the sign-in table.
We are looking forward to seeing all of you again and we are extremely pleased to provide local food to you and your family. Thank you for your continued support and we hope you will tell a friend or family member who may be interested in our program. See you soon!
